Welcome to ComputingStuff - we offer the very best in tutorials, reviews, articles and forums for everything computer related.
Our forums are the best place to hang out, ask questions, and find out more about the site. We have a collection of boards targeted at hardware, software, games, general computing and off-topic discussions as well as a marketplace for selling your second-hand computer goods and somewhere for discussions about this site. The forums boast an active community who have, to date, posted more than 11,000 articles.

Happy New Year from all at ComputingStuff!

Following on from yesterday's post, there are a couple more things that have happened.
Firstly, the hardware and software pages are now working as normal.
Secondly, the feeds are now updating well and we have moved back to Feedburner for hosting purposes. All the old feed links still work, though.
Finally, there is a new version of the phpBB RSS Feed generator. This has been updated to work with phpBB3.
On behalf of the ComputingStuff admins, have a very happy new year!

Ah, it's been a very long time since we last posted something here, and in the interim, ComputingStuff has been left to decay it seems!
In the tradition of bursts of work that I am well known for, I have been working on the site a little to make it more presentable. The theme has changed very little, but under the hood there have been many software updates. We can once again actually log into the content management system (this had been broken for a long time) and so I took the opportunity to update some content.
The sidebar feeds should now update once an hour as normal (before today, they hadn't updated for 2 years!)
All broken links are now also working, and I'm just doing some last bits of work on a couple of pages on the site to make them work normally. As part of this, I will also be releasing a new version of the phpBB RSS Feed mod, but more on this later.

Recently, our hosts suffered a few problems during migration to new servers, and the site inadvertently got deleted. Luckily...*Drum roll*...I had a backup!
I've really no idea why I had a backup, as that's far too organised, but anyway!
There are a few broken bits, but I'm sure the bugs will be sorted in the near future.
The link to the forums is currently broken, but you can still get to them via this link.
Apologies for the downtime, and I hope to see you on the messageboards soon!

I'm pleased to announce that the write-up for the ninth ComputingStuff LAN Party, held on 13th April 2007 is now available to read.
I also have some site news for everybody: Simon has been working busily recently fixing the gallery while I've been on the forums, where I've added a new Windows Home Server board, put up lots of new items for sale in the Marketplace and got rid of a lot of spammers and spam messages.

As some of you may have noticed, ComputingStuff has been experiencing a number of issues over the past few weeks due to a recent change of host. These issues were related to broken redirects as well as non-updating feeds and no access to ComputingStuff feeds.
I'm happy to say that the majority of problems have now been fixed, and the remaining ones will be fixed within the next hour or so.
Best wishes,
The ComputingStuff Team

As Si posted a few days ago, the ComputingStuff team has been hard at work improving the site.
